Dog in heat!!!!?
Well today(8/22/06) I noticed my dog started her heat cycle, Yes I am aware that spaying and neutoring is the best way to go, the thing is that she is a pure bread German Sheperd, and she has the gene for producing White puppies. Well it is not as if I don’t have any, buyers. My Dogs Mother, and Grandmother (both owned by my parents) gave an average of 7 puppies, the most they have produced were 9 puppies,so i went ahead and asked Friends and family members, if they were interested in owning a puppy, So now that i know the puppies are wanted, i wanted to know when i should take my dog to the stug dog??? How many days after she starts her heat cycle????

White German Sheppards are concidered rare and can sell for more than the usual. My best friend is a GS breeder and she charges more for them. It is a myth that white germans carry bad traits. They are usually killed at birth. I have seen grown white GS and they are just as smart, if not smarter than regular GS. The only difference is the color of the fur. There is nothing wrong with them at all. I breed bassetts and they tend to mate four days after they start bleeding. I would leave them alone for a week just to make sure everything is done. Also, if you want to breed responcibly, make sure that you are willing to take the pups back if your family decides to get rid of them. Even when they are full grown. You are helping to bring life into the world, you need to help see it through and give the pups the best life it could have!
