Making Money Online Vol. 6
Hello folks, this is “Seth Rubberfold”, once again. This will be our next article in the mini series entitled “Making Money Online”. In the previous updated versions, we went over so much, I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
I want to talk more about being a content writer and the benefits you derive from its practices. First of all, you’re going to be doing a lot of writing. You’re skill with words, typing speed, vocabulary, and experience will all exponentially increase. Before I first started, my typing speed was already decent, as well as my vocabulary and use of words. However, I can now type articles incredibly fast, and the information is calculated in my head before I write it. Remember brainstorming and preparing an outline? All those English 101 classes you took? Or maybe you skipped college and went straight to the online world, in any case, content writing for other businesses is a valuable experience, and will teach you not only a skill, but insider information in the field your interested.
When you content write, there are different ways to get paid. One is by signing up with an outsourcing website, and bidding on projects you’re interested in. This method can be very lucrative for what it is. You’re basically sitting at home, or anywhere with a laptop, and writing content for other people. Not only will you often receive free information if you’re writing about a product, but you’ll also learn things you wouldn’t have through research the topic you have to write about.
In the past I’ve written about furniture, I learned the techniques used in making certain collectables and why they’re valuable. I’ve written about travel, and my experiences traveling. I used my prior traveling experience to research and write about places I haven’t been to. I’ve written about countless websites and, countless book, movie, and music reviews, and have even written about things like wood working! The possibilities for learning are limitless.
While content writing is fun, it won’t make you the huge amounts of money you’re probably waiting to make. Another great way to make money is blogging, and there are different ways to go about it. A web-log has become the infamous “Blog”. I don’t think it’s even in the dictionary, but it’s on the tip of everyone’s tongue. The only problem with blogging is that so many people are doing it, and the competition is fierce. With “Money to Be Made Online” you’ll learn a lot more techniques than I can fit in this article, so I suggest getting a copy of that if you don’t want to waste time by making mistakes from inexperience.
The art of blogging, now where should I begin? For the most part, a blog is the same as a journal. However, it can be a journal, or a log, of almost anything. Even Microsoft has a developer blogs, where a tech whiz can talk about the latest bug fixes and software updates. The style of a blog is usually formatted similar to a newspaper, and is very simple. Why are blogs so popular these days? I can list some of the obvious reason, and you should research why, but really… nobody knows. It’s just something that caught on, like doughnuts. All jokes aside, lets start learning about blog power!
You don’t have to have your own domain name (.com), or install complicated blog scripts and software by yourself. You can sign up for a free, automated, point and click blog at many websites. I won’t endorse any blog websites here, because part of making it online is research, hard work, and making good decisions. You want to find a fast, almost advertisement free blog website that has many features.
After you’ve setup your blog, we’ll cover how to make money with it in the next and final issue! I hope you learn something from these articles, and really set goals to make it online. Speaking from experience it’s awesome to sit at home in your pajamas and look at your bank account knowing you accomplished all that with the clicks of a mouse! Grab your copy of “Money to Be Made Online”, and be excited! Stay tuned for part 7.
I hope to see you in the lands of success and happiness! Until next time, bye!
